Discography Pages

We got somethin' we both know it
We don't talk too much about it
Yeah it ain't no real big secret all the same
Somehow we get around it

The words and music. They are the reason we're all at this site right now. Refugee was the first song I had ever heard by the band at the age of thirteen. And it grabbed me by the balls and said listen!

Listen, it don't really matter to me baby
You believe what you want to believe, you see
You don't have to live like a refugee

See what I did there? That being said, I always wanted to build something that showed my appreciation of the band.  And this is it.  Gonegator.com was great, but I wanted to make this better.  With such an amazing catalog as Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers have, nothing online even comes close.  Built by a fan, for fans.

You can get to the Discography pages from the home page by clicking the link at the top or by scrolling down to this section and selecting a specific album from the home page.

When you get to an album page, you can listen to the entire album or an individual song.  You can read all the pertinent album information which includes release date and original album review.  I've tried to include either Billboard's or Rolling Stone's review of each album.  I've included a TON of information here... Gold & Platinum dates... Chart History... Other Musicians... Producers... I've tried to include everything I could think of that a fan might find interesting. You can see the shopping cart images next to the songs if you'd like to buy them.  The TV icon shows songs that include videos.  You can rate the albums and also leave your comments about the album. The + icons let you build your own playlists.  I haven't figured that part out yet.  But I will let you know as soon as I do.  My plan is to have the player pop up in another window so you can listen while surfing other pages.

But wait, there's more.  "No Sean, MORE!?!?!"  I know, it's hard to believe, isn't it?  But when you click on a song title from an album page, you get specific information about the individual song.  Again, you can rank and leave your comments about the song, but you can also watch a video if one exists.  As you scroll down the page, you can read the lyrics and on some songs, I've even included guitar chords and/or tabs.  Pretty damn cool, huh?

I've got a lot to add to the discography, but it's to a point where I'm kinda proud of how it looks and works.  PLEASE spend some time on these pages.  I guarantee you find something you didn't know before.

Please like and share anything you find on the site.  I'm trying to get this out to as many people as I can.  I haven't even begun to market the site or do my SEO voodoo.  so PLEASE SHARE!!!
