The Billboard Review

Originally reviewed for week ending 12/4/76 Recommended

Petty, another punk rock, black leather jacketed offshoot, delivers an assortment of sullen ballads and uptempo shriekers. This LP gains impact on its second spin. Petty's laid back vocals become rather infectious. Best cuts: "Hometown Blues," "Luna," "Mystery Man," "American Girl."
